Michael J. Morse is a personal injury attorney with offices located in Southfield (Oakland County) and Warren ( Macomb County), Michigan. He began his education at the University of Arizona where he earned a Bachelors of Science in business. He graduated with honors in 1989, and then earned a Juris Doctor Degree Cum Laude from the University Of Detroit School Of Law, emphasizing his studies on automobile, motorcycle, and truck accident insurance claims.

 

From 1992 through 1995 Mr. Morse was employed with a medium sized personal injury law firm. Then, in September of 1995 he opened his own firm and today proudly employs a staff of 44 including twelve attorneys. Michael Morse, P.C. is now one of the largest firms in Michigan specializing in automobile, truck and motorcycle cases. 99% of the cases we handle have to do with either first or third party Michigan No-fault claims. We also handle some catastrophic construction accident cases, significant dog bit cases and will help our clients with social security matters.

 

Mr. Morse frequently lectures on automobile claims throughout the State. He is an executive board member of the Michigan Association for Justice and a respected member of the State Bar of Michigan and the American Association for Justice. In addition to serving as legal counsel to his clients, Mr. Morse also serves as a case evaluator and arbitrator in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.


Since September of 2005, Mr. Morse has been serving as an adjunct professor at University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law where he teaches Law Practice Management to students who consistently give him rave reviews.

 

Most recently, Mr. Morse has also authored a book, "Litigating Neck and Back Injuries" by James Publishing.

 

Governor Jennifer Granholm appointed Michael J. Morse to the Michigan Chiropractic Board for a 4 year term. Mr. Morse was appointed by the chairperson of the Chiropractic Board to be the Chairperson of the Disciplinary Sub-committee which oversees the discipline procedure for chiropractors in the State of Michigan.

 

Michael Morse is an expert in litigating both first and third party No Fault cases.  He lectures throughout the country to various groups on a variety of topics including the subject of paperless technology.  His interest in this topic combined with his passion to “go green” were instrumental in making his own office paperless. Mr. Morse has received many awards and accolades including 2009 Crain’s Cool Places to Work in Tough Times, 2009 Top Lawyer, 2009 21st Century Innovator and 2009 Leader in The Law.

 

 

John Nachazel, Chief Operations Officer

John graduated with a degree in Finance from Miami University and earned his MBA from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining our firm in September 2008, John held a variety of sales and marketing leadership positions in the automotive industry. In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his wife, Melissa, and their four children. John has volunteered his time as a coach of many youth sports teams over the years.

Marc J. Mendelson, Attorney

Marc J. Mendelson

Marc J. Mendelson graduated from Michigan State University in 1987 with a degree in General Business Administration. He then went on to law school where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the prestigious Detroit College of Law in 1994 with a Juris Doctor Degree. After that, Mr. Mendelson worked for a large business firm and then for State Farm Insurance Company, where he was employed as an attorney. After several years of working for the insurance industry, he decided to become an advocate for injury victims, instead of helping insurance companies defend these lawsuits.

Eric Simpson, Attorney

Eric M. Simpson has been dedicated to protecting the rights of the seriously injured and their families for his entire legal career. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts. He then graduated Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1997 with his Juris Doctor. Not only is Eric a licensed member of The State Bar of Michigan, but also The North Carolina State Bar and The State Bar of Texas. He has practiced law in many different States and throughout the State of Michigan. He has extensive knowledge of the Michigan No-Fault Laws and numerous other areas of Michigan Personal Injury Law. Joel R. Safir, Attorney

Joel R. Safir is an attorney, who recently joined the Michael Morse P.C. Family. In 1996, Joel graduated from the University of Michigan, with an emphasis in philosophy. That same year, he began law school at the Case Western University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. While at Case, he was a member of the Jonathan M. Ault Mock Trial Team. As such, he represented his school in the ATLA National Mock Trial Competition in the spring, 1999.

 

After graduation from law school, Joel spent nearly nine years practicing insurance defense litigation. In so doing, he tried numerous cases for insurance companies and their insureds. Joel is licensed in Michigan, Ohio, the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He is now a proud member of the MAJ. Since coming to Michael Morse P.C., Joel has exclusively practiced personal injury litigation.

Donald J. Cummings, Attorney

Donald J. Cummings graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. While at Truman, he was on the varsity wrestling team and was selected to be a member of the Academic All-American Wrestling Team. After Truman, Mr. Cummings attended the University of South Carolina School of Law. He graduated with honors and was chosen to be a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe and the Order of the Coif. Mr. Cummings has decided to become a trial lawyer and dedicated himself to helping injured victims. In his free time, he enjoys Italian and French food and wine, spending time with his wife, Kelly, and Boxer dog, Nola, and going rock and ice climbing, canyoneering, mountaineering and backpacking.

 

 

Perry Schneider, Attorney

Perry is originally from West Branch, Michigan. He attended Michigan State University where he earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts with honors in 1992. He subsequently obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from Wayne State University while clerking for the Hon. Alice L. Gilbert at the Oakland County Circuit Court. He has been practicing law for the past 13 years, specializing in Real Estate, Personal Injury, and Michigan No-Fault Law. As head of the Pre-suit Department at Michael Morse P.C, he and his team of Paralegals and Attorneys work with clients to develop and resolve claims prior to litigation.

 

 

Matthew R. Bates, Attorney

Matthew R. Bates is a recent addition to the State Bar of Michigan and the Michael J. Morse P.C. family. In 2005, Matt graduated cum laude from Western Michigan University with a B.A. in public law and philosophy. Following graduation, Matt enrolled at Wayne State University Law School. While at Wayne State, he served as the Law School Representative on the University Student Council and the President of the Student Bar Association Board of Governors. In recognition of his leadership in these positions, Matt was awarded the Campus Life Leadership Award for Outstanding Graduate/Professional Student Leader. Additionally, Matt was also a member of the Student Trial Advocacy Program where he and his partner won the Donald Barris Mock Trial Competition. After graduating from Law School in 2008, Matt was elected Secretary to the Board of Directors for the Wayne State Law Alumni Association. Since joining the Michael J. Robert Silverman, Attorney

Robert S. Silverman graduated with High Distinction from the University of Michigan, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology in 1992. He earned his Juris Doctor Degree Magna Cum Laude from The Detroit College of Law in 1995. While a law student, Robert was on Law Review and was a published author in The Detroit College of Law Review. He is currently licensed in Michigan, New York, and the Federal District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. At the beginning of his legal career, Robert represented local hospitals and physicians in medical malpractice litigation. Later, Robert worked for State Farm Insurance for 10 years, defending personal injury lawsuits. Today, Robert enjoys representing the victims of personal injury accidents. While concentrating his practice in no-fault insurance, automobile negligence, slip and falls, and dog bite claims, Robert litigates any personal injury claims including watercraft negligence, snowmobile negligence, and construction liability. As a 1992 U.S. Olympic Team candidate for ten meter tower diving, 17 time U.S. National Championships competitor, and N.C.A.A. Division I All-America, Robert still enjoys athletics with his wife and children. Brett O'Shell, Attorney

Brett graduated from Michigan State University with Honors earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Pre-Law from the Eli Broad School of Business. He then went on to earn a Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University in May 2009. While in law school, Brett clerked for the Honorable Denis R. Leduc at the 42nd District Court in Macomb County. After completing his clerkship, Brett joined the Law Offices of Michael J. Morse, P.C in 2007 where he has dedicated himself to assisting victims of automobile, motorcycle and trucking accidents. Brett’s knowledge in the area of Michigan’s complicated no-fault law allows him to provide each client with a comprehensive understanding of the benefits of which they are entitled. In his spare time, Brett enjoys reading, watching MSU sports and high school football, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Jake Yeater, Attorney

In 2005, Jake Yeater graduated cum laude from the University of Findlay, where he attained bachelor degrees in Law and Liberal Arts and Criminal Justice. That fall, he attended Thomas M. Cooley School of Law where he later graduated in the top 5% of his class, cum laude. While a law student, Jake participated in Law Review as the Scholarly Writing Editor, Law Journal, Moot Court, and Mock Trial. He was also awarded the Eugene Krasicky Award for his significant contributions to the publication of the Law Review.

Before coming to the Law Offices of Michael J. Morse, P.C., Jake spent several years clerking for several Michigan law firms where he primarily assisted in the areas of premises liability, bankruptcy, and criminal law. Presently, Jake works in the areas of automobile negligence, premises liability, and social security disability. In his free time, he enjoys going to concerts, reading, working out, and spending time with family and friends.

Chris Filiatraut, Attorney

Christopher Filiatraut has only recently joined the Michael Morse family. He graduated from Wayne State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History Cum Laude. He then attended law school at the University Of Detroit Mercy School Of Law and received his juris doctorate in 1996. Chris was a partner in a very large insurance defense firm for fourteen years before joining MJM, P.C. In that time he has personally tried over 55 cases in the areas of personal injury and no-fault. He has extensive knowledge of the Michigan Personal Injury Law and the Michigan No-Fault Laws to serve his clients. In his free time, he loves spending time with his family and enjoys golfing and fishing.

 

Tony Chapman, Attorney

Tony Chapman graduated from the University of Michigan in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education. He was awarded the Maize and Blue Scholarship, the highest honor bestowed upon a graduating senior, for outstanding academic achievement and community service. Tony then graduated Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2006 with his Juris Doctor. He is a licensed member of the State Bar of Michigan. Tony works as attorney in our intake department, and keeps very busy interviewing and meeting with new clients every day. Jennifer Damico, Attorney

Jennifer Damico is a recent addition to Michael J. Morse, P.C. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1991 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. At MSU, she made the Dean's List and served as graduation commencement speaker. Thereafter, she attended law school at the University of Detroit Mercy where she was an associate editor of the UDM Law Review. Upon graduation in 1994, Jennifer began practicing personal injury law on behalf of accident victims. She spent the next ten years defending personal injury cases as a shareholder in a very large defense law firm. Jennifer is an experienced lawyer having tried numerous cases for both plaintiffs and defendants. She has rededicated her career to helping accident victims. She brings a unique perspective and extensive knowledge of auto law to our firm. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys traveling, cooking and running.

 

 

Tim Gilley, Attorney

Tim Gilley graduated with High Distinction from the University of Michigan in 2007, earning a BA in both Political Science and Psychology. He was a James B. Angell Scholar and a proud member of three national honor societies: Pi Sigma Alpha, Psi Chi, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. After graduation, Tim attended Michigan State University College of Law where he was an Associate Editor of the Michigan State Law Review. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from law school after finishing in the top 5% of his class. Tim currently works in our Pre-suit department where he assists our clients in obtaining the No-Fault benefits they deserve and are entitled to. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and video games, watching and attending Michigan football games, and spending time with his family and friends.

 

 

Nick Caponigro, Attorney

Nick Caponigro graduated from Indiana University in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and English. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law in 2010. Nick currently works in the firm's Pre-Suit department, where he works with insurance companies to ensure that clients receive the benefits and compensation to which they're entitled. Dalit graduated from the University of Michigan in 2003 earning a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management & Communications. She then attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2008. While in law school, Dalit was a member of the Frank Murphy Honor Society, Deans List, and the Moot Court Board of Advocates. Dalit was also an Executive Editor of the Law Review as well as a published author. After law school, Dalit practiced law in New York as a litigation associate for a large corporate firm. She recently returned to Michigan and joined Michael Morse, P.C. Dalit is currently licensed to practice in New York and Michigan. Lewis Melfi, Attorney

Lewis decided to become personal injury attorney because he enjoys protecting the rights of the seriously injured. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor Science in Biology. While at the University of Michigan, Lewis developed an interest in the areas of anatomy and physiology. He then attended Loyola University's School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he graduated Cum Laude. After law school, Lewis lived and practiced law in San Francisco and San Diego before returning home to Detroit. He has experience in the areas of personal injury litigation, insurance defense litigation and patent prosecution. He is licensed to practice law in California and in Michigan. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors as well as spending time with his wife, Jackie, their son Ash, and their three dogs, Ellie, Mollie and Sadie.

 

Helen Manesia, Attorney

Helen Manesia is an attorney in the firm's Pre-Suit department. In 2007, Helen graduated with honors from Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame IN earning a BA in Political Science, German, with a minor in Philosophy. She was inducted into the Pi Sigma Alpha and Delta Phi Alpha honors societies. In 2010, Helen graduated from Wayne State University Law School where she was an Assistant and Associate Editor on The Wayne Law Review. She interned at the Michigan Attorney General's Office and Wayne County Prosecutors Office, gaining valuable courtroom experience. Paul Hesselgrave, Attorney

Paul has been with Michael Morse, P.C., since 2008 – first as a law clerk and now as a litigation attorney. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Michigan in 2002 and worked in the automobile finance industry before beginning his studies at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2006. Paul was an editor of the Law Review, earned the Best Brief Award and advocacy honors as a member of Moot Court, and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2009. Paul is an avid motorcyclist and is devoted to protecting the rights of injured bikers. In his spare time, he also enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children, running, mountain biking, playing paintball, and playing poker.

 

 

 

 

Paul Gipson, Attorney

Paul Gipson attended Michigan State University where he met his wife and obtained a B.S. degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology/Biotechnology. After graduation, Paul attended Ave Maria School of Law on the Dean's Scholarship where he obtained his J.D. degree, worked in the Patent Law Clinic & Advanced Clinic, competed in the Giles Rich Moot Court Competition, and served as the Academic Standards Committee Chair. While in law school, Paul interned for the Washtenaw County Office of the Public Defender and externed for the State of Michigan Office of the Attorney General. Before joining Michael Morse P.C., Paul was the Owner and Principal Attorney for Gipson Law Offices PLLC, a general law practice with a focus on Intellectual Property, Debt Collections, Criminal Defense, and Business Formation. Paul currently works in our Pre-Suit Department where he strives to treat each client's case as if it were his own. Paul prides himself in his work product, intelligence, and ethics. Patricia Dooley, Attorney

Patricia Dooley graduated from Michigan State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Psychology. Thereafter, she attended law school at Detroit College of Law and received her Juris Doctorate Cum Laude degree in 1991. She has been licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan since 1991 and the State of Illinois since 1992. Following graduation, Patty began practicing personal injury law on behalf of accident victims for a period of ten years. Kevin Ramas graduated from Michigan State University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. Paul Wheatley, Attorney

Paul Wheatley graduated from Michigan State University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism with a concentration in environmental journalism. During his time at MSU he worked as a reporter for the State News. He later worked as a city reporter for the Petoskey News-Review in Petoskey, MI, and The Vindicator newspaper in Youngstown, Ohio. Paul earned a scholarship to The Thomas M. Cooley Law School and earned his law degree with a concentration in environmental law. He interned, clerked, and worked as an attorney for the Liblang Law Firm, PC where aided clients with Consumer Law - namely, Lemon Law, Rebuilt Auto Wrecks, and Wrongful Debt Collections. Paul enjoys legal research and writing and currently works in Litigation. He is a music and movie buff, a fantasy football nerd, and an MSU and Detroit sports fan. He and his wife Christine have two children, Lana and Finn. They enjoy cooking and traveling together.

 

Fred Livingston, Attorney

Frederick Livingston graduated from Wayne State University in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University College of Law in 2011. Fred is a licensed member of the State Bar of Michigan. Drew Macaulay, Attorney

Drew Macaulay graduated Magna Cum Laude from Albion College. After graduation, Drew worked as a licensed veterinary technician in Virginia, eventually returning to Michigan to work as a zookeeper in the primates division of the Detroit Zoo. Drew attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where she was a member of Moot Court Board of Advocates . In 2008, Drew was first runner-up in the National Animal Advocacy Competition at Harvard Law School. After earning her Juris Doctor and being admitted to the Michigan bar, Drew worked in the Office of the General Counsel at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, and later in the Corporate Compliance department of Blue Care Network. As a member of the Michael Morse’s litigation division, Drew enjoys zealously protecting her clients’ no-fault rights. In her spare time, Drew loves spending time with husband and daughter, bicycling, reading, and taking hikes with her dog Aggy.

 

Daedra Horne, Attorney

Daedrea joined the Michael Morse litigation team in August 2011. In 2005, she received her bachelor’s degree in international business and marketing from Clark Atlanta University, in Atlanta, Georgia. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law – Texas Southern University in May 2011, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. While attending law school, she was President of the Student Ambassadors program, served on the executive board of the Student Bar Association, and was appointed as the National International Relations Chair on the executive board of the National Black Law Students Association from 2009-2010. She was also a competitive litigator in the Trial and Advocacy Program, a student attorney in the Legal Clinical Studies program, and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Vanessa Gilmore at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. In her free time, Daedrea enjoys traveling, live sporting events, and community service.

 

Lindsay Finkel, Attorney

Lindsay graduated from Michigan State University in 2008, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. She attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and graduated Cum Laude in 2011. While in law school, Lindsay was a member of the Deans Honor Society and Inns of Court. Additionally, Lindsay was elected Associate Director of External Competitions for the Moot Court Board of Advocates. Lindsay interned at the Washtenaw Public Defender’s Office, gaining valuable court room experience. She was also a Summer Associate at the busy general practice firm of Giarmarco, Mullins & Horton, P.C. Lindsay is an attorney in our litigation department, where she concentrates her practice on no-fault insurance and automobile negligence law. In her free time, Lindsay volunteers at non-profit organizations and enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

 

Jan Rosenberg, Marketing/New Business Development

Janet Rosenberg

Jan Rosenberg attended Michigan State University and transferred to Oakland University to obtain paralegal certification. She worked for a large defense law firm for 20 years handling a wide variety of personal injury cases including medical malpractice, slip and falls, birth injuries and toxic torts. In 2003 she began her career at Michael Morse, P.C. as a paralegal. From 2003 through 2009 she worked with hundreds of auto accident victims to help them obtain all compensation they are entitled to. In 2009, she shifted her focus to marketing and new business development. Since then, she's often out and about meeting clients, lawyers and medical professionals who need our expertise and services. Jan is an annual participant in Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and in the winter months volunteers to prepare and serve meals at local homeless shelters. In addition to family time, Jan enjoys reading, exercise, biking and knitting.

 

Thanai Pope, Paralegal

Thanai Pope is originally from Michigan and attended University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She later transferred to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, where she received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in photography and worked as an editorial photographer and editor in Los Angeles. She recently returned to Michigan and completed Oakland Community College's paralegal certification program in 2006. Thanai began working for Michael Morse, P.C. as a paralegal intern, and upon completion of her internship was hired to work full time as a paralegal and writer.

 

Jennifer Harvala, Paralegal

When Jennifer started working at Michael J. Morse, P.C. in March of 2004, she worked as a receptionist and file clerk. Since that time, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Macomb Community College with her paralegal certification. She was promoted to a paralegal position in 2005, and is now a valuable member of our pre-litigation team. Jennifer married her husband, Marc, in September of 2006. They spend their free time enjoying the outdoors. In 2009, Jen was an official delegate for the title of Mrs. Michigan United States.

 

 

Jamie Kress, Paralegal

Prior to working at Michael Morse, P.C., Jamie was employed as a receptionist/legal assistant for a small law firm working with an emphasis in family law and real estate matters. In 2005, Jamie began working with us as a paralegal and earned her Certification from Macomb Community College. Jamie works with our clients to help them obtain no-fault benefits from their insurance companies.  Whenever she’s not at work, Jamie enjoys line dancing, and just having fun with her friends.

Julie Rashid joined our team as a Paralegal in 2009. She graduated from Ball State University and is currently attending Oakland University. Prior to joining Michael J. Morse P.C., Julie worked in the retail and IT industries, volunteered, and has lived in Sweden, Canada, India and Turkey. In her spare time, Julie enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering, and traveling. Julie's teenage son, Zack, keeps her busy with all of his exciting activities including water polo and swimming.

 

 

Karen Whims, Paralegal

Karen graduated from Oakland Community College in 2009 with a degree in Business Information Systems. In December of 2010 she earned her degree in Paralegal Studies. Karen joined the firm in January and is currently working in the litigation department assisting attorneys. In her spare time Karen loves to cook and spend time with her son.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Valerie Connor, Paralegal

Valerie graduated from Central Michigan University in May 2010 with a B.S. in History, and is presently taking classes to earn a Paralegal Certificate from Oakland University. She currently works as an assistant in the Pre-Suit Department. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her loved ones.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Genna Brewer, Paralegal

Genna Brewer graduated first in her class from Henry Ford Community College in 2011 with an Associate degree in Paralegal Studies. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and is a presidential member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. In addition to graduating summa cum laude, she maintains an established spot on the Dean's List. Genna was a former sailor in the U.S. Navy. Currently, she is working on her Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Administration and will be applying to law school. As a paralegal on our litigation team and a member of our intake department, Genna enjoys working with our clients. In her spare time, she can be found bow-hunting, writing, or curling up with a good book.

 

 

 

 

Valerie Bowman, Legal Secretary

Valerie joined our firm in early 2006. She has been a legal secretary for over 10 years in the area of workers compensation, medical malpractice, and now automobile negligence cases. She is the mother of two boys, Devin and Aiden. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, traveling, yoga, running and skiing.

 

 

 

 

 

Kelly Folster, Legal Secretary

Kelly has been working in the legal field for 18 years. She spent the beginning years of her career in the field working on bankruptcy and domestic cases, but has spent the past 14 years concentrating on Plaintiff’s personal injury. Outside of the office, Kelly enjoys working in the garden doing landscaping and spending time with her family.

 

 

 

 

 

Michelle Jennings, Legal Secretary

Michelle Jennings joined our firm in April 2009 as a Legal Secretary and quickly settled into the daily detailed work in our Litigation Department. After graduating with academic honors from Oakland University with a Bachelors Degree in Journalism in 2007, Michelle held a prominent position with a sales and motivational speaker. Shortly thereafter, she enrolled in Oakland University’s Paralegal Program to supplement her degree and landed a position with our firm. When Michelle isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Tom and their dog Xavier, reading, being outdoors and relaxing with friends and family.

 

 

Lynn Ostrowski, Legal Secretary

Lynn Ostrowski joined our firm in July 2009 as the Legal Assistant to Marc Mendelson with nearly 20 years experience in the legal profession. Lynn has worked for some of the most well respected and experienced automobile negligence attorneys in Michigan, whose knowledge and experience only furthered her skills, qualifications and professionalism. Lynn and her husband Don are avid boaters, and also enjoy their many warm Caribbean travels.

 

 

David Rodgers, Legal Secretary

David Rodgers joined our firm in February 2011 as the Legal Assistant to Matthew R. Bates with over 25 years experience in the legal profession. David has worked for some of the most well respected and experienced attorneys in the metropolitan Detroit area as well as firms in Los Angeles, California. David's vast experience in the automobile negligence area shines through with his commitment to excellence in his work performance.

 

 

Jeanette Hamilton, Legal Secretary

Jeanette Hamilton joined our firm’s litigation department as a legal secretary in 2011. She has been in the legal profession for well over 10 years. In her free time Jeanette enjoys spending time with family, reading and watching classic movies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lisa Zielinski, Legal Secretary

Lisa joined our firm in March, 2011. She has been a legal secretary for over 10 years and has worked in many different areas of law including, real estate litigation, commercial litigation, family law, debt collection and automobile negligence cases. She has been married to her husband Mike since 2009. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, taking her 2 dogs for walks, cooking and shopping.

 

 

 

 

Theresa Green, Legal Secretary

Theresa joined our firm in July of 2010. She has been working as a Legal Assistant with over 25 years experience in personal injury. Theresa has worked with several well-respected attorneys in Michigan. Outside of the office she and her husband enjoy spending time with their three children, son & daughter-in-law, and two grandbabies. Theresa enjoys traveling, reading, baking/cooking, canning, and gardening.

 

 

 

 

 

Sade Bosman, Litigation Assistant

Sade moved to the United States from South Africa in 2005. Since then she has been actively pursuing her ambitions. Sade recently graduated from OCC with an Associate's Degree in Mental Health. She has used her education to benefit her community through her many hours of volunteer work with troubled teenagers. Sade joined Michael Morse, P.C. in 2010 to work as a litigation assistant. In her spare time, she enjoys reading novels and routinely practices yoga.

 

 

 

Jeanette Tremblay, Litigation Assistant

Jeanette recently graduated from Macomb Community College with an Associate's degree in general studies. She has been employed in the legal field since 2006 and joined the MJM, P.C. family just this year. As a litigation assistant Jeanette is passionately committed to helping clients throughout the litigation process. When she's not at work, Jeanette reads avidly and stays physically fit through running and other aerobic exercises.

 

 

 

Rhonda Calcatera, Legal Assistant

Rhonda began joined our in the summer of 2009. She will continue her education to become a paralegal and is currently working as an assistant in our pre-suit department. In her free time, Rhonda enjoys reading, writing, and scrapbooking.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lauren Perry, Legal Assistant

Lauren Perry graduated from Albion College in May of 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Theatre. She just recently finished a marketing internship with Hour Media, and joined the Michael J. Morse, P.C. family in October of 2009 as a paralegal assistant for the pre-litigation team. Outside of work, Lauren is an avid reader and enjoys writing, taking road trips, and spending time with family and friends.

 

 

 

Marcy West, Intake Team Assistant

Marcy West graduated from the University of Utah in May 2009, with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Mandarin Chinese. After living in Beijing, Marcy came home and is now working as an assistant on our intake team. Marcy also loves to ski, bike, and work on crossword puzzles.

 

 

 

 

 

Jeanie Dunn, Pre-Suit Assistant

Jeanie graduated with a degree in psychology/philosophy from Grand Valley State University in 2005. Jeanie has joined the team of assistants in our pre-suit department working diligently to get every penny for our clients. Outside of work, Jeanie loves to spend time enjoying the simple things in life such as time with family and friends, an outdoor walk or bike ride, sledding in the winter, cooking, and cleaning.

 

 

 

 

Andrew Kotwicki, Clerk

Since joining MJM, PC in 2009, Andrew Kotwicki has become an integral part of our firm, and is responsible for many tasks including scanning documents, providing assistance for secretaries with document courier tasks and obtaining settlement checks. Earning his Bachelor's in English in 2006 from Oakland University, Andrew is now working towards earning his Paralegal Certificate from Oakland University. His travels to Japan and China during college increased Andrew's interest in East Asian Studies and the Japanese language. An avid film enthusiast, Andrew was a former USA TODAY Junior Film Critic, and he enjoys reading, writing, and music.

 

 

Doug Meese, Clerk

Doug graduated from the Oakland University MBA program in May of 2009, and joined the firm in late 2010 after teaching Macroeconomics at Oakland University for a short time. He now works as an Accounting and H.R. Assistant, performing managerial and data processing tasks for the firm. In his free time, Doug enjoys drawing, music, watching mixed martial arts and gaming with his friends.

 

 

 

 

 

Michele King, Accountant

After many years of bookkeeping experience in the construction industry, Michele welcomed the opportunity to broaden her horizons by becoming our bookkeeper. Michele has been with us since August 2008 and is an integral part of our team. Now that her sons are grown she has more time to dedicate to furthering her education by attending Macomb Community College.
